COCO The Salmon Crested Molukken Cacatu

In 1999 I met a native family who were selling their female Salmon Crested Molukken Cacatu. I saw the bird was not healthy and not young as they said. The Cacatu had no feathers at all on the chest and tiny sad eyes. Still I took her home. It took many months for her to recover, she needed a lot of attention and the right food - including fruits and juices.

Today COCO is a happy and healthy bird,  jealous screaming if the phone rings or a visiter comes. She became all tame and loves to have dinner next to me on her chair...(or whats left of the chair).
